You asked and we delivered!
At Musicology, we are always listening to our users wants and needs and many of you asked for a tutorial on how to use OBS during your online lessons.
I met with my friend Ryan Worswick from Seattle on Musicology and he was so great at making OBS seem a little less intimidating. It was surprisingly easy to use after I learned what all the buttons do!
Keep in mind that OBS uses an enormous amount of CPU power so if you already have an old and slow computer I would recommend cleaning it up first and make sure you don’t have a lot of background apps operating.
That being said, my students enjoyed seeing different views in one camera frame during our lessons and thought it was neat! On Musicology, you can use the Next Camera button to switch to OBS quickly during your lesson.
Please enjoy this 20 min video and step-by-step images to get started using OBS for your online lessons on Musicology!
